Pablo Rothschild has been a congressman for eight years, and was appointed to the treasury under the last president’s administration, making him the only candidate with a background in finances.

Rothschild is campaigning with a major focus on education. According to Rothschild, 1 out of 10 schools are ‘high school dropout schools’, meaning  60 percent of freshman will drop out before senior year. Rothschild says he would attack the problem by having states build data systems to keep track of students throughout the year and identify groups we need to focus money and time on to close the achievement gap. Additionally, he believes the biggest problem with education is that college isn’t affordable to many students, in a world where a college education can drastically impact career opportunities.

Rothschild is also running strongly on tax reform and foreign policy, stating that he believes that the U.S. should give aid to allies but should not forcefully impose their influence on other countries.

Overall, Pablo is running on the platform promising change.

“Washington needs to be changed for the better,” Rothschild said.
