TIGER
Behind Bjornlund by Elisa
Born and raised in a working class Maryland family, candidate Tiger Bjornlund grew up as an normal American. Having mother was a school teacher and a father who was an electrician, Bjornlund said he learned the value of hard work.
Later in life Bjornlund became highly educated, attaining degrees from Harvard and Columbia before working at a law firm.
As an adult, Bjornlund moved to Botswana, where he worked across the country fighting for human rights improvements. Ultimately, this experience motivated him to pursue a life in politics.
“My experience in Botswana inspired me to make change,” Bjornlund said.
Upon coming back to the U.S., Tiger launched his campaign for state senator, followed by a run for the governorship. As governor, Bjornlund claimed his biggest achievements were raising the minimum wage, protecting the rights of all citizens and legalizing same sex marriage.
Bjornlund’s forward looking campaign wants to bring these successes to the White House, in order to address issues in America on a national scale.
“I want to focus on equality,” Bjornlund said. “My international and state level experiences that have focused around equality have motivated me to run for president.”
Bjornlund said that his intellectualism paired with his real world experience, both in America and internationally set him apart from the other candidates.
Among his top three priorities are reforming tax laws to reinstate a progressive tax that relies on the upper classes, implementing environmental reform and abiding by the Paris Climate Accords and protecting and reforming the Affordable Care Act so it can provide high-class medical care to the neediest Americans.
“I will address the needs of the people,” Bjornlund said.

Tiger's First Speech
"My campaign is founded on three collective principles: for President, for America, for You. For President: I intend to support government policies to ensure equality for everyone. For America: I intend to encourage the rediscovery of national unity while celebrating our tremendous diversity. And, most importantly, for you: I intend to govern in the interests of all Americans, both individually and collectively. If there’s one guarantee I can make to you today, it is that I will fight tirelessly for you.
My name is Charles Björnlund—but please, call me “Tiger”—and I am running for President of the United States of America. Thank you and God bless America."
