On Dec 8, presidential candidate Pablo Rothschild released a statement to the press justifying his relations with a family of two in Utah, after The Walking Nine broke the story that Rothschild had a second family he kept secret from the public.
Rothschild's campaign claim their candidate was the victim of media bias, labeling allegations as "vicious" and "diabolical" in their statement. Policy analyst Josh Rich was even overheard complaining directly to the FEC.
In the official remarks, the campaign acknowledged the existence of a seven year old son living in Montezuma, Utah, explaining that Rothschild and the child's mother met while he was living there as a congressman for his district; his son was conceived while they were in a long term relationship.
According to the campaign, allegations of an affair are inaccurate due to the fact that they ended their relationship years before Pablo met and married his current wife.
"Since then, Pablo has remarried but has been there financially and emotionally for his ex and son," the campaign stated. "His current family is completely aware of his past and have met with his second family on multiple occasions; they have shared holidays together. Both families have come to terms and accepted this way of life."
This does not address the fact that son and mother are on the record claiming to not have know about Rothschild's Bethesda family until they saw them with Rothschild on TV.
